Senior’s big day

High school  senior  pictures  are  more  than  just  photographs;  they  represent  a  significant  milestone  in  a

teenager's life. These images capture the essence of who they are at this pivotal moment and serve as a reminder for this portions of their lives. More then just for Mom and Dad this is something you can also look back on to spark memories of your time before exploring a wider world.

Choosing the Right Setting One of the many benefits of living in Oregon is that we have so many choices for locations. Urban settings in downtown Portland, Salem and even your home town, an abundance of parks located throughout the metro area, local farms, waterfalls and sports venues are all great locations to capture your personality as a Senior and how you want your pictures to look. Timing is also important to make sure we get the best light. The golden hour in the morning and evening are the best time to capture this perfect lighting.

Wardrobe and Style Pick out what you want to wear so you feel comfortable and can express the style that makes you you. Bring the things that have highlighted your time in high school, be it trophies, instruments or anything else that brings you interests to light.

Poses and Candid Shots A mix of posed and candid shots often results in the best photos. Posed shots to get those classic looks for family and friends, while more candid shots let you relax and give more of your personality to the session.  The more input you can give to your photographer always helps us create and capture your vision for your senior portraits

Also don’t wait, doing these pictures under a short deadlines makes it more stress full and can distract you from what should be a exciting event. No one wants to feel rushed. I also suggest that you are familiar on the schools submitting requirements to make sure we get exactly what is needed for your yearbook.

About The Author

My passion for photography grew in the midst of exploring Oregon, capturing the beautiful landscapes,  in moments with my friends, and in taking photos as the explored with me.   My goal is to have my images speak to you-- for your story to be told, to be cherished, and to be remembered, leaving you with a collection of memories you will keep forever. For me, the only way to achieve this is by building honest, true connections by getting to know my clients and capturing the real life moments as we moved in between poses!
